ENDORSEMENTS AND ADVANCED TRAINING

Endorsements and other types of advanced training are a way in improve your flying skills, add new qualifications and broaden your flying horizons. We can provide a wide range of endorsement and advanced training to take you where you want to fly.

| RPL Endorsements

+ RPL Nav

Have your RPL and are ready to leave the nest? You’ll complete this package if you are wanting (or have been guided by our team) to complete your Navigation in the CASA system. You will have already completed the RPL conversion process and be familiar with your training aircraft (Grob115 or another of your choice). You will complete theory training for two days then self-study to pass a CASA RPL Navigation endorsement. You will then fly approximately 20 hours where you will gain experience in controlled airspace, cross country flight and navigation as well as visit airports that you have never been to before so that you can learn how to arrive and depart safely. We also have options for those who want to fly without the controlled airspace component.

The package includes all of the theory and practical experiences needed to gain the Navigation endorsement. When you are ready, a flight review will be completed by your instructor (CASA Grade 2 or higher) and with the stroke of a pen on your CASA licence you can leave the 25NM radius and explore Australia by Air.

+ RPL CTA

Have your RPL but not CTA? Come join us in Canberra or fly to the controlled airspaces of Sydney from Bathurst with your instructor and we can get you comfortable and ready to go in and out of CTA as required. With training covering both Class C and D airspace you can be rest assured we will teach you everything you need to know about CTA and remove the mysteries and apprehension that accompanies a lot of new pilots entering CTA. Then, just like with Nav when you are ready, a flight will be completed by your instructor (CASA Grade 2 or higher) and you will be signed off to fly in Australian controlled airspace on your RPL. Want both CTA and Nav? No worries at all most of our students complete these packages as one navigating between our bases in Canberra and Bathurst, to Controlled airspaces in Albury, Bankstown, Camden and even as far as Moorabbin if you are looking for an adventure!

| Retractable Undercarriage

+ RU

Wheels that go up and down? Yes please! We offer training for a retractable undercarriage design feature endorsement in either the Piper Arrow or Cessna 210.

The course includes instruction in relevant aircraft systems, pre-flight considerations, performance implications, general handling, normal and emergency procedures. Our training will equip you with the skills to safely and effectively operate a retractable undercarriage aircraft with confidence. This endorsement typically includes a 2 hour briefing and 3 hours of flying in your chosen aircraft however all required hours are subject to pilot competency.

| Manual Propeller Pitch Control

+MPPC

Most modern aircraft or bigger aircraft have variable pitch propellers. To fly an aircraft with a variable pitch propeller you will need an MPPC endorsement. For the majority of our students this endorsement comes as part of their initial training on the way to RPC or RPL but we provide training for anyone who needs it.

This training is completed to standard. It includes the theory briefs and flights. Once you have met the requirements, you instructor will sign off on your endorsement. We can provide MPPC training for RPC, RPL or PPL holders.

| Multi-Engine Class Rating

+MEA

This is no little endorsement. A Multi Engine Class Rating is the next big step in any pilots training. Size, speed and complexity even the smallest multi-engine aircraft is bigger, faster and more complex than what you initially learn in. Our multi-engine endorsements include briefings, general handling, emergency training and your eventual flight test. An MEA class rating is available for anyone who holds a PPL or CPL.
